A postdoctoral position or research Instructor is available immediately at University of Louisville in the James Brown Cancer Center for the development of nano vector for targeting therapeutic applications, including delivery of miRNA, peptide and drugs. The research has a strong emphasis on targeting delivery of therapeutic agents for treatment of cancers. Ongoing projects in the lab include studies on the roles of exosomes in terms of immune cells- tumor cells interaction, and using a novel edible plant derived nanovector (http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal/v4/n5/ncomms2886/metrics/news) as a delivery vehicle for targeting delivery.
Candidates should be motivated to work independently. The selected postdoc will have the opportunity to conduct research in a truly interdisciplinary setting with close interactions with immunology, Molecular biology and Cancer biology groups.
Candidates with expertise in at least the following areas are invited to apply:
- Tumor Immunology with strong molecular biology background
- Experience in working with mouse models of cancer
- working with nanoparticles
- Mammalian cell culture and immunostaining In addition, candidates are required to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
