Post-doctoral fellow position on host-microbiota interactions at the Pasteur Institute of Lille A two year post-doctoral fellow position is available in the team “Nods-like receptors in infection and immunity” at the Pasteur Institute of Lille in order to further deciphering how pathobionts may disrupt quiescent and protective inflammatory response and gut microbial ecology. The candidate will execute program entitled “Gut Microbiota-Host Interactome in Response to Intestinal Pathogen” that is funded by the national agency ANR.
Our Inserm research team is at the forefront to further understand host-microbiota mutualism with a specific interest on host licensing of gut microbial ecology and on the impact of the microbiota on the epithelial barrier function, and beyond. Our findings on innate immunity and on the genetic of inflammatory bowel diseases have been considered as cutting-edge by not only challenging dogmas, but also by opening new areas of basic and applied research in Immunology and Gastroenterology.
The candidate of any nationality will have a PhD and/or MD with a post-doctoral experience and a strong expertise in metagenomics and immunology (particularly gut immunology) and good skills in metagenomics. The candidate should have an outstanding track-record including publications in peer-reviewed journals (IF>10). Fluent knowledge of English and technical skills in metagenomics, immunology and mouse experimentation with FELASA-approved habilitation are mandatory. We are seeking a, enthusiastic and autonomous fellow with a high degree of independence based on a previous post-doctoral experience, open to new challenges.
