A three-year post-doctoral position is available immediately in the biomolecular simulation group of Dr. Peter J. Bond in the Bioinformatics Institute (A*STAR) located in the vibrant, multicultural city of Singapore.
Our group seeks to understand fundamental biological phenomena in the broad areas of molecular recognition and signaling, structural biology, and bionanotechnology. We are looking for highly motivated, independent and creative individuals with excellent communication skills, who are happy to interact collaboratively with other internationally leading computational and experimental groups, and to take advantage of our location within Biopolis, a hub for interdisciplinary biomedical research.
Applicants should have (or be about to obtain) a relevant PhD with extensive experience in all-atom and/or multiscale molecular simulation approaches. Experience with biased simulation or free-energy calculation approaches would be advantageous. Applicants should have significant coding/scripting skills, in particular to facilitate the automated analysis and/or generation of molecular simulation data. The candidate should have good team working skills, and be keen to co-supervise PhD students. An interest in macromolecular assembly/recognition and/or biomembrane interactions is desirable.
