Post-doctoral fellowship available at Weill Cornell Medical College in the Brain and Mind Research Institute. The project centers on the relationship between the microbiome and multiple sclerosis. It is a multi-disciplinary project interweaving microbiology, the human microbiome, immunology and neuroscience. Applicants should have a strong background in microbiology and/or immunology and possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The project involves collection and analysis of human samples from multiple body habitats using traditional microbiological approaches. The fellow will also work closely with other members of the lab on animal modeling of CNS demyelination through alteration of the microbiome.
