Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow in Psychology

The Department of Psychology is looking for applicants with a PhD in Psychology, strong research track record, and the capacity to teach in core BPS areas of our Psychology programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. All our Psychology programmes are accredited by the BPS. Eligibility for Graduate Basis of Chartered Membership with the BPS is therefore a prerequisite for the posts.

You will be expected to assist in the delivery of core BPS courses, particularly research methods, statistics and research projects. The successful candidate will preferentially have experience in supervising undergraduate students. With excellent interpersonal skills, the candidate will act as a tutor for students at all three levels. Those who do not possess a formal teaching qualification will be supported to undertake relevant training in-house.

Though the position is primarily a teaching position the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their research track.
