The National Food institute at DTU (DTU Food) invites applications for a one (1) year position as Postdoc within Nano-Bio Science.

The Group conducts research, education, innovation, industry and public sector consultancy within the field of nano-bio science and technology, functionality of biomacromolecules and bioactives, physical and colloid chemistry, trace elements and nanotoxicology.

Responsibilities and tasks
The postdoc researcher will be part of the 'Nano3Bio' project funded under the FP7 programme. Further, the researcher will participate in other ongoing projects with national and international collaboration. It is expected that the candidate will be contribute to the initiation of new collaborative research projects

Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. Applicants must have a solid background in the development of functional lipid nano-structures, and lipid nanostructure-mediated delivery systems, design and evaluation of in vitro experiments.

In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:

• scientific production and research potential at international level
• innovative skills and the ability to generate new ideas
• the ability to communicate at all levels and supervise students at BSc, MSc and PhD levels
• the ability to promote and utilize research results
• an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience
• ability to create new research projects, attract funding and develop international cooperation
• the ability to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.

The daily workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus and periodic travels are to be expected.
