Postdoctoral Associate : New York, NY, United States
Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Associate position to pursue research in the fields of machine learning based cardiovascular image analysis, especially for heart valve modeling. The candidate has opportunity to collaborate with internationally renowned cardiologists and cardiac surgeons at Weill Cornell Medical College, to develop and apply novel machine learning models to improve the diagnosis and prediction of valvular diseases. The appointment will be a full-time for 12-months, with annual renewal contingent upon performance.
Minimum Requirements
Ideal applicants should have a PhD degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or related fields. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in at least two of the followings:
1) biomedical image analysis and modeling of cardiovascular structure and function, 2) state-of-the-art machine learning methods, and 3) computational modeling of cardiovascular physiology and disease progression. Fluency in programming with C/C++ or python within a scientific research environment is strongly required.
Skill and Abilities
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills, strong proficiency in English is preferred.
• Knowledge of computer vision, computer graphics, and geometric modeling is a plus.
