　　Position Summary

　　This is a grant funded opportunity with a specific focus on biofilm infection, bacteria host interaction, infection immunology, pseudomonas, and staphylococci working with the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering.

　　The Laboratory of Dr. Chandan K Sen in Department of Surgery and the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on projects addressing wound infection, wound biofilm infection and releated mechanisms. The laboratory focuses on discovering novel model mechanisms and therapeutic strategies to manage such infections.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　• Must have a doctoral degree (PhD) in microbiology, biochemistry, biology, biotechnology or related fields

　　• Specific experience with the study of bacterial biology is highly required

　　• Evidence of publication history in biofilm biology, bacterial host interaction, infection immunology, pseudomonas or staphylococci field is desired.

　　• Must be willing to work with animals and human subjects

　　• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

　　• Must be able to work independently or with very limited supervision.

　　• Must be able to multitask and show interest in contributing to several projects ongoing in the lab.
