　　Description of the Job

　　Two postdoc fellowship positions are available in Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery laboratory directed by Dr. Qingguo Xu at Department of Pharmaceutics, Virginia Commonwealth University. This research program is translational research to develop novel therapy and drug delivery systems to treat ocular disorders and cancer. Passionate and driven researchers with a strong background in polymer chemistry, biomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery or other biomedical research are welcome to apply. The postdoc fellow will get training in polymeric biomaterials, translational nanomedicine, and animal models. The School of Pharmacy is located at VCU Medical campus, and currently ranked #15 in the country by US News, and #12 by NIH funding. 　　Required Qualifications

　　Successful Postdoc candidates must hold a PhD in the field of polymers, biomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery, or a related area. This position requires a highly motivated candidate, who has excellent oral and written communications skills. Applicants should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.

　　A strong background in polymer chemistry, biomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery or other biomedical research
