Postdoc of Crop Bioengineering

　　The laboratory of Stephan Wenkel at Copenhagen Plant Science Centre, Denmark investigates the function of microProteins in model and crop plants. We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work on a three-year project aimed at manipulating metabolic pathways in crop plants using microProtein engineering. The group is housed at the Copenhagen Plant Science Centre (www.cpsc.ku.dk).

　　We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a PhD in molecular biology or related disciplines with at least one first-author publication in a respected, international peer-reviewed journal. The ideal applicant has experience in working with monocotyledonous plants, preferentially barley, knowledge in genome-engineering and protein biochemistry. The postdocs duties will be primarily focused on experimental research but may also include some teaching.

　　Terms of employment

　　The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

　　Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

　　The starting salary is currently up to DKK 426.625 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 72.952). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
