　　The Pharmacotherapy Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. This one-year program will focus on applying and strengthening knowledge, skills, and abilities in the core outcome research areas.

　　Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

　　Outcomes research project activities using hands on experience to include research methods and outcomes design; pharmacoepidemiology and risk management; retrospective large database analysis; health services research; evidence based medicine; drug information, pharmacoeconomics; formulary management, and medication utilization evaluation.

　　Communicate the final original research findings in a manuscript for a professional or scientific journal and/or final research findings oral presentation (poster or podium).

　　Teaching - Assist in deliver didactic lectures and grading in areas relevant to Social & Administrative Sciences; Facilitate team discussions and case conferences with pharmacy students; Develop and present educational programs to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and community organizations; Serve as a leader and role model and mentor for pharmacy students.

　　Explores new research areas or enhances knowledge in research field in collaboration with outcomes research lab faculty and other researchers.

　　Required Qualifications

　　The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

　　Hold a PharmD/ PhD/ MD/ DrPH advanced degree in health services research, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, pharmacy, medicine, or related area. If the degree had not been conferred at the time applicant applied for a postdoc position, a letter needs to be attached from the school's official Graduate Office and/or Registrar's Office certifying that all requirements for the degree have been met and stating the degree conferral date.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

　　Previous residency or equivalent clinical and research training.

　　Previous experience in outcomes research, health services research or related field of research.

　　Effective oral communication skills.

　　Have effective written communication skills as evidenced by the application materials.
