　　Postdoctoral Scientist – Cell Biology

　　Starting Salary £30,464 – £33,305 per annum

　　3 Years Fixed term

　　We are looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Scientist to work with Dr Katja Röper within a programme investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms of tissue morphogenesis. The research focuses on the formation of tubular organs from epithelial sheets, using advanced imaging methods combined with quantitative analyses. Using the power of Drosophila genetics in combination with our in depth quantitative data that describe the healthy process of tube formation, we now want to quantitatively address what goes wrong when we genetically or physically interfere with the system.

　　You will have a PhD in a relevant subject. Ideally, you will have experience in advanced imaging techniques combined with quantitative image analysis or programming ability to develop or assist in the development of analysis software and approaches.

　　The successful applicant will be awarded a three year Career Development Fellowship / Postdoctoral training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
