　　Job Description

　　The purpose of the Postdoctoral Associate is to support the Department of Radiation Oncology research group of medical imaging. The Postdoctoral Associate will need to be able to function independently; to design and troubleshoot software for advanced image processing. This position will conduct research and develop novel and practical algorithms in computer vision and image analysis to solve problems in radiation oncology, in particular to assist the clinician with automatic and semi-automatic tools that enable the interpretation and information extraction from medical images.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in engineering, physics or computer science. Demonstrated expertise in computer vision and medical imaging. Prefer experience in scientific programming related to medical imaging and algorithm design. Also prefer experience developing algorithms and building solutions in fields such as medical image segmentation, registration, tracking, feature extraction, and classification. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
